Hickory Ridge Farms is located in Caldwell County of western Kentucky, which is not far from the area known as “Land between the Lakes” recreation area, bordered by Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.
Our property lies between Dawson Springs and Princeton, which is the county seat of Caldwell County.
Princeton is at the junction of US 62 and KY 97, just south of Interstate 24.
Nearby Pennyrile State Forest is one of the largest state forests in Kentucky, with 15,000 acres of forest. Typical of the region, our farm is hilly and covered with deciduous forests. The Ohio River forms the entire northern border of Kentucky.
The state’s deer herd is estimated at nearly one million with enough trophy bucks to keep Kentucky in contention for a top five ranking in the Boone and Crockett record books. Kentucky is home to elk, bear, squirrels, rabbits, quail, grouse, doves, ducks, geese, Sandhill cranes and more.
Caldwell County is located in Zone 1. A hunter is limited to one deer with visible antlers (excluding button bucks) per license year statewide. Sunday hunting is allowed in the state.
